Science Applications Partnerships (SAP)

    Science Application Partnerships (SAPs) are formed as a result of targeted efforts to integrate advanced applied mathematics and computer science technologies into specific SciDAC applications projects. SAPs fill important technical gaps by providing application teams with computer science and mathematics expertise not offered by other resources, such as the SciDAC Centers. SAPs also collaborate with science communities not yet familiar with the SciDAC model of interdisciplinary teams and high-performance computing, and thus set up the next generation of SciDAC Science Application projects.
